Schraufnagel, Beth (Marriage - 8 Oct. 1953) 
 

Miss Beth Schraufnagel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schraufnagel, and Lawrence Bargander, son of Marie Bargander, Edgar, Route 1, exchanged marriage vows, Thursday, Oct. 8. The Rev. Raymond Schulz performed the ceremony in the rectory of St. Bernard’s church at 2:00 o’clock. 
 

Attending the couple were Mrs. Virgil Schlais, sister of the groom, and Daniel Jahnke, cousin of the groom. 
 

For the ceremony the bride chose a street length dress with crystal buttons. With it she wore red and white accessories. Mrs. Schlais wore a navy blue ensemble. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Bargander are making their home on the farm of his mother, ten miles east of Abbotsford and one-fourth mile south. 
 

They were honored guests at a wedding shower, Wednesday evening at the George Ellenbecker home. Attending from Abbotsford were the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Schraufnagel and grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Engelking.
